Sun shaped Pull apart bread with Spicy minty filling !!

Baking breads is therapeutic for me !! 
Each step is so crucial and calls for pecision in every bake ...Though i have a sweet tooth, always favored savory breads too, might be the garlic breads, Chilly buns and now this sun shaped minty bread..this is so soft , spongy n loaded with flavors in each bite ..this serves as a great treat for your holiday evenings !! 
 This is my first attempt using Tangzhong and i feel accomplished !!
Ingredients :
For the Tangzhong :
  •  3 tbsp : All purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup : Milk
For the filling  :
  • 1 cup : Loosely packed, Mint leaves
  • Fistful : Coriander/ Cilantro leaves
  • 3 nos : Garlic cloves
  • 4 nos : Green chillies
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp : oil
For the Dough : 
  • 2.5 cups : All purpose flour / Maida
  • 4 tbsp : Sugar
  • 3 tbsp : Milk powder
  • 1 tsp : Salt 
  • 3/4 cup : Water
  • 2 tsp : Instant yeast
  • 3 tbsp : Butter at room temperature
  • 1 tbsp each : Sesame and flax seeds
  • 2 tbsp : Milk for brushing
  • Start off with the Tangzhong first, 
  • In a sauce pan add milk and flour  .Whisk until a lump free mixture . 
  • Now turn on the heat and cook until its a lumpy dough like ..
  • Now remove this into a bowl and cover with a cling film touching the mixture and allow this cool at room temperature .

  • For the filling : Grind all the ingredients mentioned under filling section into a smooth paste, in a blender and set aside until use.
  • For the Dough : In a deep mixing bowl add the flour , salt , sugar ,milk powder, yeast , butter and Tangzhong knead this into a soft dough adding water ..

  • Invert the dough on to the counter top or any flat surface and continuosly knead the dough for 10 minutes until it is soft and paliable .
  • Now place the dough in a greased bowl and set in a warm place for atleast an hour or until doubled in volume .

  • Knock out the air from the dough and shape into a dough ball ...later divide the dough into four equal portions and shape into balls .
  • Now dusting with flour roll out each dough ball into thin round discs of similar size..
  • Line a baking pan with parchment paper and place one rolled disc over it .
  • Spread one third of the prepared filling over it as evenly as possible..
  • Now cover this with another rolled disc and continue the same one more time .
  • Now on the last disc place a small bowl in the center and press slighly .
  • Next cut the discs outside the bowl into an inch wider strips using a pizza cutter..
  • Lift and twist each strip four to five times .
  • Once all the strip are done brush their tops with milk .
  • Now sprinkle the sesame and flax seeds in the center where the bowl was placed.

  • Bake this beauty in an preheated oven at 180°c / 360°f  for 25 to 30 mins or until the top turns golden brown.
    WOW !! What a delicious and appealing bake!!
The interiors look appetizing too !!
