Whole wheat Tutti Frutti bread !!! Eggless !!! Butterless !!

As a kid , I loved to eat britannia fruit slices a lot ...
Wanted to bake something similar to it,  but this time a healthy one too...
This variation of wholewheat , buterless and eggless is perfect n turned out to be delicious than the regular one...
Its hard to make out that it is wholewheat..
It is so moist n flavorful that original ones definetely fall behind...!!!

Ingredients :
  • 1.5 cups whole wheat flour / Atta
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup curd / yoghurt ..i used low fat yoghurt
  • 1/2  cup oil  ..flavorless
  • 2 tsp Baking powder divided ( 1tsp + 1tsp )
  • 1 tsp Baking soda divided ( 1/2 tsp + 1/2 tsp )
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup Tutti frutti
  •  1tsp Vanilla / pineapple essence
Method :
  • First whisk the yoghurt and powdered sugar together until well combined n sugar is melted..
  • Now add a tsp of baking powder and half tsp of baking soda to it...whisk n set aside for 5 to 10 mins..
  • The soda and powder react with yoghurt resulting in frothy n foamy mixture...
  • Meanwhile sift the atta , 1 tsp baking powder , 1/2 tsp baking soda and salt together ...from a height ...for threee to four times..
  • This aerates the flour n the baking n soda and well mixed with flour...this step helps  the cakes in its rising ...or else they might turn dense...
  • Once sifted for 3 to 4 times set this aside..
  • Now stir in the oil and essence into yoghurt mixture and mix properly..
  • Now add the flour mixture to yoghurt mixture and mix thoroughly..
  • Now stir in the tutti frutti..and mix until combined..
  • Now add this batter to the greased and floured loaf tin...and sprinkle a tbsp of turti frutti over the top as well and press lightly..
  • Now bake in a preheated oven at 180°c or 356°f approx for 30 to 35 mins until or skewer inserted comes out clean...
  • ***Do not open the door multiple times as it lowers the temperature n u r cakes tend to sink...just check after half hour...
  • ***if u feel ur loaf is way too much browning on the top ..cover it with foil while in the oven..
  • Once baked to perfection ...take it out and allow it to cool on the counter top for 10 to 15 mins...later invert on to a chopping board n slice ...
Tutti frutti slices are ready to dive in !!
So flavorful n colorful...
Can't get any better...
