Quinoa Dosa !!! No carb food !!!

Quinoa is a good gluten free source of protein, iron & fibre ...
Quinoa is a flavorful way to get in a serving of whole grains...wanted to incorporate it in our diet since long , so tried to prepare this in so many ways ,, even though they were physically appetizing n satisfying ..but mentally i was not until i tried out this Dosa !!! 
Quinoa dosa worked out perfect for us...

Ingredients :
  • 1 cup Quinoa
  • 1/4 cup urad dal
  • 1/2tsp Methi / fenugreek seeds
  • 2 tbsp chana dal
  • 2 tbsp rice flakes / poha
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to cook dosas
Method :
  1. Firstly wash n soak the quinoa, dals , poha and Methi meeds for 4 to 6 hrs...
  2. Later drain the water n grind these into fine paste using water...
  3. Keep it covered to ferment overnight or atleast for 8 hrs..
  4. After 10 hrs my batter didnt rise much but observed few bubbles n change in smell..
  5. As its quiet cold here it did not double in size...but it will increase in volume if the weather is favorable...
  6. Now add the salt n adjust consistency adding water if required to make it spreadable over tawa / pan..
  7. Now make dosas as we do regularly ..spreading the dosa batter in circular motion n add few drops of oil at the sides n centre...
  8. Once golden fold n serve..no need to flip n cook...

Tastes great with any chutney or karam podi or even pickle ...
Make n enjoy this protein packed dosa for breakfast or brunch..keeps u full n going !!
