Banoffee Pie !!! No bake dessert !!! Using Dulche De Leche !!!!


Banoffee pie is the arguably best pie i have ever tasted....was really skeptical about the outcome prior to making this but to my wonder it turned out to be the best dishes i have ever made or tasted !!!!
   Banoffee pie is an English Pie dessert made using Bananas, cream n Dulche de leche 
either on a pastry base or one made from crumbled digestives and butter...some versions of the recipe includes chocolate , coffee or both...

Ingredients :
  • 180 gms / 13 nos:digestive biscuits / Graham crackers 
  • 100 gms Melted unsalted butter
  • 1 can / 400 gms Dulche de leche/ condensed milk
  • 2 Bananas sliced
  • 1 tbsp lemon / lime / orange juice
  • 300 ml whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • Chocolate for decorating ...( chocolate chips/ chocolate shavings/ cocoa powder)
Method :


  • Firstly prepare the Dulche de leche using a can of condensed milk..For its recipe follow the link provided in description...
  • Crush the digestives using a food processor or mixie or just crush them using a rolling pin..
  • Next remove the crushed biscuits into a bowl add the melted butter n mix thoroughly...
  • Now press this firmly onto a greased tray / pie pan / flan dish / or a loose bottom cake tin..
  • Once done place in refrigerator for half an hour or until firm...
  • Now slice the bananas n drizzle the lemon /lime / orange juice..this step helps in avoiding the discoloration of bananas...
  • Bring out the crust out n pour the Dulche de leche over it ...and spread evenly..
  • Next layer the slices of banana over this...
  • Place this again in the refrigerator at least for half hour..
  • Meanwhile start whipping the cream ...in a bowl add the cream and sugar...n whip it until soft peaks using a whisk / hand mixer / stand mixer...

  • Now bring the tin out n spread the whipped cream evenly ,over it...
  • Place this in the refrigerator at least for an hour ...
  • Later garnish it according to u r taste using chocolate chips or cocoa powder...
  • Keep it refrigerated until the end...stays best until 4 to 5 days...
